Jack Haley, the Original Iron Man....well ok, Tin Man but just as cool!
I don't care how old I get, The Wizard Of Oz is still one of my favorite movies. It's one of those movies that I own yet will still watch when it is on TV. Seeing as the movie brought me (and still brings me) so much joy, I decided to pay my respects to Mr Haley at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Close up of Jack Haley's final resting place. I left him a note written in silver. I feel the silver fitting, seeing as he spent the majority of his most famous role covered in it.
Here is a close up shot of the note I left for Jack Haley. It's a quote from his famous role as the Tin Man.
"Now I Know I Have A Heart, Because It's Breaking"
I think it is an appropriate quote when standing over the grave of the man that brought anyone who has ever seen him act such joy. Thank you Jack for the magic you brought to one of the most beloved films of all time.

I want to do the same and visit his grave to pay my utmost respect! I have many of his movies and continue to build my collection. He was a wonderful man who loved and was loved. A devoted husband, father and above all a Devoted Roman Catholic who serve to help his fellow men. He was a firm believer in a continuance and knew he would be reunited with his loved ones.
ReplyDeleteI miss him too! God Bless You Jack!
